On March 22, 2014 ASHA JYOTI Community Welfare Society Of Canada an Non-Profit Organization which was formed about twenty three years ago with the objective of supporting under privilege kids in India to get education from grade six to grade twelve, Organized Holi festival at Royal Banquet Hall.

Mr. Naresh Handa -President addressed the opening session of this event and briefed about Asha Jyoti's aim and objectives. He also informed that since it's inception, Asha Jyoti has supported more than 2700 under privilege kids to get education. Mr. Nageshwar Rao Jillepalli, treasurer informed the financials and future projects. The event was sponsored by Anup Srivastava, Barrister and Solicitor of Avadh Law Office and Zahid Syed of Orooj Financial & Insurance.

It was a fun full of colours and musical entertainment with traditional Holi food event to bring awareness in community about Asha Jyoti activities and inviting more to join and help for the noble cause. Mr. Anup Srivastava while giving away the prizes to the participants made a call to the community to come forward and be a part of this noble cause. Mr. Anup Srivastava is a prominent Lawyer and Social Worker.

Mr. Harjit Jaswal nominated candidate of Conservative Party for Bramelea-Gore-Malton riding, Ms. Sudha Verma -Zone Chair of Lions Club International were among others who attended this event.

Mr. Deepak Mehra, Secretary thanks all the sponsors and supporters for making this event success. He also thanks Mr. Ashok Baghwala a prominent and well known Social worker and event chair for his whole hearted work to organize this event along with his team a great success. Mr. Deepak Mehra also thanks Rogers TV , local media, Radio and ATN for giving coverage and their support.
